QA That Finds Bugs Users Would Have Found

Test-case count is not a quality metric. Coverage of real user paths and real conditions is.

Test the paths that carry traffic

Analytics tells you which flows most users take. Those deserve the deepest coverage, regardless of how interesting they are to test.

Exhaustive coverage of a rarely used admin screen is time spent poorly.

Test under real conditions

Slow networks, low battery, interrupted calls, backgrounded apps, and low storage produce most production bug reports and almost no test-plan entries.

Add a conditions pass to the release checklist.

Automate the regression, explore the rest

Automated tests hold the line on known behaviour. Exploratory testing by a person finds the issues nobody wrote a case for.

Both are needed. Neither substitutes for the other.

Where to go from here

If you are weighing quality process for an upcoming project, the useful next step is usually a short scoping conversation rather than a longer article. Bring your constraints — budget, timeline, existing systems, and the team you already have — and the decision usually resolves itself in an hour.

We run these as a fixed-scope discovery session with a written recommendation at the end, including the cases where our advice is that you do not need us.

Working on something like this?

Send us the brief. We will tell you what we would build, what we would cut, and roughly what it costs.
